Charlotte

For the second day's challenge at the Greeting Farm, you were to create a card using this little cutie, Charlotte. She's so adorable and made me think of my BFF's little girl. All that diva attitude and only 2 1/2!

Sparkle's Christmas Card Challenge week 30

Sparkle's challenge this week was another sketch challenge. I {{heart}} sketches! And I love this image, the bear is too cute in his little hat and mittens! He looks like he's all ready to hit the slopes!

Not sure what's up with my picture, the card is much brighter in real life, but I got tired of trying to fix it in photoshop.

Happy Thursday!

Sparkle's Christmas Card Challenge week 29

Sparkle's Challenge this week is a sketch challenge. I LOVE card sketches! The hardest part of making cards for me is figuring out the layout, so I love it when the thinking is already done for me. This little guy is an image I got from Sparkle several months ago. Not sure who he belongs to, but he is quite a cutie! Thanks for the challenge Sparks!

Sparkle's Christmas Card Challenge week 27

For this week's challenge we were to make a card without using Christmas or winter stamps. I cheated a bit since I didn't actually make a new card for the challenge. This is a card I made last Christmas for one of my hubby's best friends, Chris. When I saw the one that Kim Burmeister made on her blog last year (thanks Kim!) I was so excited and had to make a similar one of my own for Chris who just happens to be COMPLETELY OBSESSED with Rock Band. He loved it! Rock on Chris, rock on.....

Sparkle's Christmas Card Challenge week 26

This week Sparkle's challenge was to make a card using your scraps. I used up some of the scraps I had leftover from the Christmas cards I made last year. I think I even get a extra point for using Bella on my card, Woo Hoo!

Supplies used: Imaginisce papers, Stamping Bella image, CTMH sentiment stamp, Prismacolor markers, stickles, buttons

Enjoy the weekend everyone!

Sparkle's Christmas Card Challenge week 9

For this week's challenge, we were to make a Christmas card without using any glitter, sparkle or bling. I got the inspiration for this card from one the my friend Christine designed a few months ago. Thanks to you both for the inspiration and the challenge!

Sparkle's Christmas Card Challenge week 8

For this week's challenge we were supposed to make a square card. I decided this image would be perfect for a gift card holder. I wish I looked that cute when I went Christmas shopping, lol!

Sparkle's Christmas Card Challenge Week 7

Sparkle's hosting a weekly Christmas card challenge every Sunday and this week's challenge was to make cards that used liquid applique. Here's my card (even thought I'm pretty sure you're supposed to make 2 - oops!). I used liquid applique on the wee tiny little snowflakes that are all around the oh-so-adorable Mr. Riley.

Marjorie's color challenge # 39

I made this card for Marjorie's color challenge # 39. We were supposed to use at least 3 colors from the combo of Outdoor Denim, Tulip, Heavenly Blue, and Ocean. I used everything except the Tulip this time. The design is cased from a card on pg 35 of the CTMH Autumn/ Winter 2008 idea book. Thanks for the challenge Marjorie!

Only 35 days until Christmas! (and only 27 days until my birthday ;0) yay! )

And I'd like to thank.......

Flippin' Sweet! I won Nona's Splash of Color Challenge! Thank's to Nona for hosting and for the absolutely adorable prize! Love it!

And in the spirit of yesterday's 80th Annual Academy Awards:

There are so many to thank for this honor...I'd like to thank my daughter, Bean, for deciding that naps are in fact quite reasonable for baby's to take once in a while and for choosing last Wednesday afternoon to give naptime a try.

I'd also like to thank the creative genius at Disney and Pixar Animation studios for their collaboration of "Ratatouille" without which my three year old would have been "helping me" in the creative process that fateful afternoon by stamping on my table and dumping entire containers of brads onto the carpet.

Thanks to my daughter, Taylor for recognizing the design to be a wedding cake and thus sparing me any potential embarassment from my paper crafting peers.

And lastly, I'd like to thank my Sam for resisting the natural urge of a three year old to peel the ribbon and flower off of my contest entry until after the photos had been taken. Thanks Bud, you're the best.

my card for Nona's Splash of Color challenge

Well, I'm not sure this is a qualifing entry but here's my take on Nona's Splash of Color challenge. I really wanted to participate but regrettably, I do not have any of the Silhouette papers. So, I just had to pick some ideas out of the old noggin!

And I know that I seem to have quite a thing for placing pastries on my cards this week but I have a good excuse for this particular card too. My Sis-in-law, Marie is getting married on the 29th of this month (that's right it's a leap year wedding day for ol' Marie! ) and I figured I go ahead and make her card early, instead of trying to make one in the car on the way to the wedding...... like I've been known to try and do in the past. :0)

Thanks for looking!

my card for Christine's Sketch challenge #1

Well I just had to join in on the fun too! Here's my card for my buddy Christine's card sketch challenge. My inspiration is my Ella Bean's upcoming first birthday ( I can hardly believe it's already been a year!) Thanks for looking!
P.S. The cupcake is actually a diecut from my Cricut machine :0) Normally I draw and cut out my own designs, but I got a little help this time. That's probably the main reason I finished it before the challenge was over! :0)
